The three pieces I made with terra cotta have sadly been laid to rest. My attempt to trim them only made me realize how much of a novice i was. I see now that it takes more patience to work with this clay. Although my new pieces failed, I am tempted to keep at it with this art form.

I attempted working with a new type of clay called terra cotta. It is a lot different than the clay i was used to working with. I really like how it works and I have made 3 pieces with it since starting.

Last week I learned how to trim a piece after making it on the wheel. This week i plan to use those skills learned and try to master it with two new pieces.

I made a customized bowl on the wheel today and then cleaned the red and metal tools outside.
