I am now waiting on my pieces to go into the high fire kiln. First we are running a greenware kiln, which gives me the chance to see my new slip design pieces. I used a blue died porcelain slip to color on of them and left the other a regular porcelain slip. Fingers crossed they hold up through firing.

I've finally finished high fire glazing all of my pieces. They won't be going into the art show because I believe I can sell them in a better way by myself. I am very grateful for everything my teacher has given me and all the knowledge she has gifted me along the way. She knows I love her like a mother but a birds gotta spread its wings and fly away one day

So I goofed and missed the art show by one day because I didn't pay attention to what I was reading....Turns out I was reading the article for the show from LAST year. Anyways, Most of my pieces sold and I got to keep a couple that didn't. I'm going to attempt to do this all over again at the next show that will be at our own school.

I've almost finished all the pieces I will be high fire glazing and I couldn't be more excited. My teacher is giving me an amazing opportunity to bring my pieces to an art show and try to sell them alongside her own pieces. I'm really hopeful that they will do well at the show.
